Phone Interference while speaking

Question:

What can I do about the interference on my phone while talking?

Answer:

The first thing you want to ensure is that the phone is not near any major electronics or appliances. Make sure that the phone is not tied in with a computer, fax, remote answering machine, splitter or caller id box.

Try pressing the channel button on the handset (if applicable to your product). On DCT models turn clarity boost on.

Make sure base unit antenna is in an upright position (if applicable to your product). If your handset does not have an antenna then make sure you are not holding the phone to where you are covering the internal antenna.

Try moving the phone to a different phone jack and outlet. If you have any other cordless phones in your home, try unplugging all of the phones except for the Uniden and see if there is a difference.

Finally, if you have computer accessories such as DSL, Wireless Network or Router these could interfere with the phone as well.
